Kek Lok Tong

Kek Lok Tong

Kek Lok Tong is Chinese words, which means Cavern of Ultimate Bliss. It is located not far away from Sam Poh Tong since they are on the same range of limestone hills.

But, it is not as well known as Sam Poh Tong. Maybe it's because the cave temple is only accessible through Gunung Rapat housing area; while Sam Poh Tong is just alongside Jalan Gopeng, one of the busiest roads in Ipoh.

However, this is my favorite cave temple among the others! I love the cooling environment very much!!! I used to come here with my friends. We just sat inside the cave and chat, with the cool breeze keep on "kissing" my face. That is just too relaxing and enjoyable.

I still remember the first time I went there. It was my dad who brought my family to the Cavern of Ultimate Bliss. After some confusing left turn and right turn through the housing area, then only we reached at a cave temple which was so quiet. There were only a few people around.

Even though the air is fresh with scenic cave view, I thought it is just another cave temple with less development.

However, when I went through the cave, it sudden opens up and emerges to be a garden surrounding by hills. I was so surprise and adore the compatible between the nature and human work.

You should go to see that by yourself!

And, as usual, there are beautiful stalagmites and stalactites in this limestone cave.
