Get the best Ipoh hotel, lousy accommodation experience ruins your trip

There are many Ipoh hotel accommodation choices. Most of them are budget hotels.

If you don't want to take any risk, you better opt for the top Ipoh hotels on below.

Impiana Casuarina Hotel

Since I was a kid, Casuarina Hotel has given me an image as the highest standard hotel in Ipoh. Indeed, most of our local residents have the same feeling.

My dad told me that the western restaurant in the hotel was famous with their steak.

However, I have never tasted it before. I don't know whether it still maintaining the high quality of food or not. But, it's really quite a pleasure to have meal inside the restaurant with the view of the pool over the glass window.

Syuen Hotel Ipoh

Syuen Hotel has my vote for the best exterior design. Something special and different from the other ordinary buildings in the city.

How about its interior design? Don't worry, it's good too. Hehe.

But that's not the main selling point. The main selling point is its strategic location.

Syuen Hotel Ipoh is located in the heart of the city, just lying along the same road with Excelsior Hotel and Ipoh Parade shopping mall. If you stay at here, you wouldn't have any problem for getting a taxi or even bus.

You could spend one day just walking within few streets around the hotel. There are cafe, bistro and fun pub, shoppig mall, local style restaurant, food court, "Dim Sum" restaurant etc.

Just 5 to 10 minutes walking distances, there would be my favorite restaurant for beansprout chicken and "Hor Fun" (flat noodle). Yummy! hehe...

Back to the hotel itself, Syuen Hotel is the only hotel in Ipoh with a tennis court, which is located at the rooftop!

Overall, it should be one of the most expensive hotel in Ipoh.

Heritage Hotel Ipoh

This is the newest hotel compared to the other three that I'm introducing here.

It is located adjacent to the Ipoh Turf Club. So, if you are interested, you can walk over to watch the racing event on Saturday and Sunday. There are some hawker stalls too. My dad used to bought us the glutinous rice dumplings.

The only problem is, there is always traffic jam after the race.

Although it's not as big as the other three hotels, it has all the facilities that a premier business class hotel should have. A health club is available with sauna and gymnasium.

Besides this, I would like to mention about Tai Thong Restaurant which is located at the lobby. Its BeiJing roast duck is one of the best in town!

My personal Heritage Hotel review

Excelsior Hotel

Excelsior Hotel is the oldest Ipoh hotel among the top four.

The advantage of the hotel is its strategic location in the heart of the city. Since it is along the same road with Syuen Hotel, I think I do not need to repeat about its surroundings.

However, with less facilities and lower star grade, the hotel wins by providing cheaper rate rooms in the city center compared to Syuen Hotel.
